Syncopated Elevator Music :: Drum Tracking

Syncopated Elevator Music :: Drum Tracking

Ive been experimenting with layer composition for a while now and came up with what I thought was a great background loop progression. I recorded all of the parts in the comfort of my basement studio, Subterranean Studios. While Im not sure if Im going to keep them, I tracked some drum set over the backing tracks to experiment and have a little fun. Recording Specs: Presonus BlueTube Preamps>M-Audio Firwire 1814 Interface>MacBook Pro 17 2.16ghz Dual Core>Pro Tools 7.1.1 Mics i

8.3.2008. Featured DJ - Gabriel Heatwave and Ben Dubstar from London

Half an hour of jump-up Caribbean rave music - the UK sounds of garage, bassline, funky and jungle filtered through the tasty carnival vibes of bashment and soca. Personally, it takes some getting use to. Im so use to dancehall music being more sensual, grindin, and groovin. Sorry, best adjectives I can think of to describe classic dancehall music. Hopefully, you know what I mean??? Anyways, this definitely puts a different spin. What do you think? Check out The Heatwave @ MySpace. Immed

(Yeah, Doubting Thomas is the nameTom to my close friends and associates.) I first read about this at Craig Zablos, who credited Aint It Cool News.com for the original postand
